Origami Magic Rose Cube Printable Instructions

This is an origami rose, which is also a transforming cube. It turns from rose to cube and back again. This is what I like about her - a surprise trick. Doing it is actually not difficult as it might seem! Three modules of different colors add up with a bang. It is a little troublesome to collect, pushing the corners into the grooves. Only it is difficult to spread the petals.

We take paper. I have note paper - it is less dense, it is better to cut out the squares from the office - they are more elastic and denser. You need three squares of each two colors. I have a size of 9 x 9 cm.

Fold in half.

And each half is also cut in half to the center fold.

Expand, we get three folds.

Fold the upper right corner to the first fold on the left.

We iron it.

We do the same with the lower right corner, for which, for convenience, we turn the workpiece so that it becomes the upper right corner. And we will repeat.

We got two more diagonals.

Fold the lower left corner, aligning the sheet cut with the intended right vertical fold, smooth the fold until it intersects with the intended left vertical fold.

We combine the upper cut, press it with our finger and put the resulting pocket as in the next photo.

Like this. Turn the part upside down.

We repeat the same thing with the lower left corner, only it must be slipped under the bottom of the corner made as in the photo with the index finger.

Ironing ( thumb) fold until it intersects with the right vertical, as already done.

We do the same as

and we get the same fold as already done.

We turn the workpiece over.

We bend the corners.

Bend the bottom right corner and the top left corner too.

We get squares with such corners.

We add the green squares in the same way up to this point.

Bend the small bottom right corner.

Bend the resulting corner up.

We turn the workpiece 180 degrees and repeat the same with the lower left corner.

It turns out like the pink ones, only one corner is wrapped.

We bend a small corner under the bottom.

We turn the workpiece over. Bend the top corner like pink and the bottom small corner.

It turns out like this.

We connect. We hold the first (left) part with a small corner up, the corner is more authentic to the bottom. Insert the second (right) part with a longer corner into the groove.

We insert the third part with a corner more genuinely into the groove of the second, and the long corner of the first into the groove of the third.

In general, going is easier than describing.

Pay attention to the diagonal slots on all three parts - they form a triangle.

Collecting the pink ones. Again with long corners in the grooves. Focus on the cuts-cuts on the details - they are clearly visible in the photo, but the corners themselves are worse.

The slots diverge from the top.

We connect. Insert the pink long corners into the grooves on the green ones. Green crusts do not need to be inserted into the grooves of the pink ones.

Here's what happens.

We reveal the green ones.

The hardest part is to open the petals. At first I even thought that I had not collected it well. They are very tight and do not immediately pull out. I had to use something sharp.

For example, with scissors to pry and pull the petal. At first, it stretches out tightly, my paper was slightly torn (mine is fragile).

First, we pull a little and try to open it slightly like a pocket. Try every way. In one direction, he suddenly opened freely.

When all the petals are extended from below, slightly straighten the center of the bud.

You see, it turns out, as it were, three arched petals on each side. Ready! If the paper is elastic, all the petals are folded back into the grooves, the sepal (green triangles) folds down to its original position and you get a cube with three pink and three green edges. I think it is better to give in the form of a cube, and then put it in a ROSE before our eyes !!!

A hexahedron or cube is a polyhedron, all sides of which are squares. Do you like riddles and puzzles? This article will teach you how to make a paper or cardboard cube. Consider such unusual products as the yoshimoto cube and the transformer cube.

From the sweep

Sweeps are schemes that make it possible to make a three-dimensional figure out of paper or cardboard. First, let's learn how to build a sweep. To make it, you need paper, a pencil, a ruler and scissors.

All sides of the cube are squares. So, first you need to draw a square on a piece of paper. At the same time, do not forget about the rules of geometry - all sides of a square are equal, and the angles are 90 °. Next, remember how many faces a cube has - six. That is, there should also be six of them on the diagram for gluing. Draw four squares around the center square. What to do with another one? Just draw it to the side of one of the squares. The edges are in place, there are not enough glue allowances. They need to be drawn on three side squares. They make up 0.5-1 cm.

Do not forget to trim their corners at a 45 ° angle, so they will not get in the way when gluing the shape.

The reamer is ready! Here's what you should get:

Now you need to arm yourself with scissors and glue and assemble the figure. Cut out the reamer with scissors. Next, you need to bend all the sides of the cube, as well as the allowances. Lubricate the edges with glue and join the cube together. A volumetric paper cube is ready!

Origami cube

The origami technique is very ancient. Its appearance is associated with the manufacture of paper in ancient China. Its secret was adopted by the Japanese, and it was there that the art of origami was born. Previously, figures made of paper had a sacred meaning. They were used to decorate temples, weddings and mourning ceremonies. The Japanese believed that origami balls hanging over the patient's head would help ward off illness and evil spirits. Later, this art began to be not only religious, but also entertaining.

Most origami patterns date back to ancient times, but modern craftsmen have also made a significant contribution to the development of this unusual type of creativity. We suggest you try folding the cube using the origami technique. To do this, you need to take a square sheet of paper and make a fold in the center, and then bend the edges towards the middle. This initial figure is called a door.

Fold the edges towards the center and tuck the top and bottom corners into the pockets:

Turn the workpiece over and bend along the lines indicated in the diagram:

The result is a module. To collect a cube of such modules, you need six. Each part has pockets, it is in them that neighboring modules are inserted. Connect the parts according to the diagram:

The origami cube is ready. For beauty, you can make each edge of paper of different colors.

Unusual puzzle

Do you want to please your beloved children with an unusual puzzle or make an unforgettable photo album? Then a small master class on creating a transforming cube will come in handy. On each face of such a cube, you can place a picture or photo, and inside there are as many as six more pictures.

To make such a cube, you will need:

  • 12 pictures or photographs;
  • Glue;
  • 8 cubes with 4 cm sides;
  • Scotch.

You can take the most ordinary children's cubes or glue them yourself using the following scan:

First, look at the places where the cubes are attached:

It is important to understand! The whole secret of transforming such a puzzle is the correct gluing of pairs of cubes.

To make it clearer, let's look at this process step by step. First, glue two pairs of cubes as shown by the yellow stripes in the diagram:

Place these four cubes side by side and glue them in the places indicated in blue:

Place the cubes as shown in the diagram. In this case, the yellow gluing will be on the opposite side of the red one. Glue along the red lines:

The photo must be placed on the four cubes. The size of the photos is 8 by 8 cm.

It is important to glue the photo carefully, especially if you will be doing it with glue. Otherwise, you can inadvertently glue those edges that are responsible for the correct transformation of the puzzle. So it's best to use hot glue or double-sided tape.

An unusual photo album from a transforming cube is ready! You can see how it can be laid out and viewed in the photo.

Every time you see these wonderful transformations, you experience admiration, surprise and bewilderment at the same time. How?! How can this be done? What kind of brilliant head could this have come? I can't believe that all these folding and unfolding magic cubes, snakes, transformers were invented by man. This is what kind of spatial imagination a designer should have in order to imagine all the projections of a toy, analyze possible forms of addition and make a transformer cube out of paper.

Making a rose cube

You don't need anything but colored paper to make this magical flower. Even glue or scotch tape can safely remain on your shelf. Prepare three red paper squares and three green ones measuring 15x15 cm. You can make sheets of any size, but they must be square and the same. And you can choose any color, whatever you like, or which is in stock. Tip: When folding the magic flower for the first time, use a pencil and a ruler. You've probably noticed that the first stage of work is not directly folding the structure, but in the outline of the lines along which the paper will then be wrapped. Before forming the segment, lightly draw along the ruler with a pencil the lines that you got when you pre-folded. This will help you not to get confused in the actions. The most difficult thing begins when from the plane you begin to try to move into three-dimensional space, to give the figure volume. This moment will come when you will attach the third green segment to the already connected two. You will need to bend the corner of the segment so that it fits into the gap, and make a three-dimensional figure, the floor of the box. Do not be afraid to crease the corner. The main thing then is to straighten it in the groove. Exactly the same moment occurs in the design of the bud itself. After you have managed to do all the operations correctly, connect the modules and fold the bud, the most interesting begins. The newly born magical origami rose cube turns into an ordinary cube! If it seems to you complex scheme To complete this origami, try making the cube and the flower separately.

Just a rose

This beautiful rose will never fall apart into modules, because it is folded from one large whole sheet of colored paper. It turns out, of course, very beautiful, lush and voluminous, but there is no intrigue and surprise in it that is in the first magical flower. And the work of creating it in some moments may seem more complicated and confusing. This is where the advice to use a pencil and ruler can come in handy. Just don't press hard.

Just a cube

One volumetric cube can be made from one flat sheet of paper. The video shows the whole scheme of his birth. Please note that a rather small cube is obtained from a square cut from an A4 sheet of paper. Therefore, for a rose that you have already made from a 20x20 square, you will need to take a little larger sheet for a cube. All children really like the end of this master class, when a folded flat craft needs to be inflated like a balloon. Tip: Do not blow too hard. It is noticed that for beginners, every second cube turns into a flat leaf again from strong blowing.
